It has a memory card slot so you don't have to use wireless to put files on kindle. Pay for RSS? You don't pay a penny in cellular fees, the cost is loaded onto the content you decide to retrieve, so paying for an RSS feed is not so outrageous (think of how much you'd pay for mobile data to download the RSS feed using, say, a PDA and a mobile phone?) I think you missed a few things.
